COUNSELLING SERVICES IN BURNABY

We offer individual, couples, and family counselling with experienced therapists, in person at our Metrotown office and virtually across British Columbia.

The Burnaby Therapy Collective offers counselling for adults, both individuals and couples, at our Metrotown office and online across British Columbia.

Our therapists work with the concerns that bring most people to counselling, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties and major life transitions.

Some people arrive with one clear concern and others with a general sense that something needs to change, and either is a good reason to book a free consultation.

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Individual counselling supports adults working through anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Sessions are shaped around your specific goals, using approaches suited to what you are working through, whether that means building coping strategies, processing a difficult experience, or making sense of a period of change.

Individual counselling is also a place to better understand the patterns shaping how you move through everyday life. You do not need to arrive with a clear diagnosis or a single problem to solve. Therapy helps you make sense of what has been building up and identify changes that feel realistic to carry into daily life.

FOR COUPLES

Couples counselling gives partners a structured space to work through communication breakdowns, ongoing conflict, trust concerns, and other relationship challenges. The focus is on practical, lasting change in how partners relate to each other, not just resolving the issue that brought them in.

Couples counselling can be useful at many stages of a relationship, including when partners feel disconnected, keep returning to the same arguments, are navigating a major transition, or simply want to understand each other better. Sessions create space for both partners to be heard while identifying the patterns underneath recurring tension and developing healthier ways to communicate and respond to each other.

FOR FAMILIES

Family counselling brings family members together to address difficulties that have started to affect the family as a whole. Sessions can help make conversations more productive, clarify what each person is experiencing, and create a better understanding of how different family members are responding to the same situatio

Families may come to counselling during a period of change, after something difficult has happened, or when tension has gradually become part of everyday life. Therapy helps family members understand what is happening between them and find a healthier way of relating that feels more supportive and sustainable.
